Mound View Health Care, Inc. is a 174 bed facility that has served Moundsville and the surrounding Upper Ohio Valley since 1978. Mound View is licensed by the state of West Virginia and is both Medicare and Medicaid certified. In addition Mound View is licensed for 13 personal care beds.

Mound View is and has always been a family-owned and run business. The facility was built in 1978 by Herman and Wilma Conaway of Parkersburg, WV. Children and grandchildren operate Mound View and its sister facility Pine View, which is located in Harrisville, WV.

Mound View is well noted for its excellent therapy and restorative programs. The physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy departments all have many success stories to their credit. A number of long-term care candidates have progressed well enough in therapy to return home to the surprise and delight of themselves and their families.

Mound View is a full-service facility that includes a social services staff, an activity coordinator and staff, a full-time laundry/housekeeping department, a dietary department, a maintenance department, and licensed beautician/barber. Mound View employs consultant specialists in many departments. These include a registered dietitian, pharmacist, dentist, eye doctor, podiatrist, and medical record technologist.
